Our Mission and Values
At Sonja’s Smart Tots, our mission is simple: to spark a love of learning through play. We believe that when children feel safe, seen, and encouraged, they discover the confidence to explore, ask questions, and grow at their own pace.
Our Story
Sonja has cared for children in her community for more than 25 years. She’s been a mom, daycare owner, and newborn care specialist. After some time away, she felt called to return to what she loves most: creating a nurturing space where children can thrive.
As a mother of two, Sonja understands how important it is to feel confident in your child’s care. She created Sonja’s Smart Tots as a place where families feel supported and every child is welcomed with patience, joy, and a sense of belonging.
What keeps her going? Seeing the wonder in a child’s eyes as they learn something new. Hearing their laughter. And knowing that every day, she gets to make life a little easier—and a lot more joyful—for the families in her care.
